Why Black Panther?
I came across some old Black Panthers Propaganda, and I thought it was a good concept to base a distro on the group. So once I had the idea to create this distro, Black Panther Distro won the name decision
Really the only thing this site has to do with the black panthers, or the Huey P. Newton Foundation is a similar idea of black liberation, equality, a 'displeasure' police state.
A Myth about the Black Panthers:
The Black Panthers are the Black KKK
WRONG!!! The Black Panthers were not a hate group. They did not lynch white people. They had White Allies, The KKK never associated with anyone of color. The KKK didn't even like other white people who spoke to Blacks. So if you or anyone else thinks that the Black Panthers were the equivalent to the KKK then please set them straight.
The Black Panthers were a political party that began in the sixties. They were no more militant than any other political party of that time, they had bodyguards as do republicans and democrats and any other political entity.
Really the Point of the Name of this distro, is not because we are trying to bring the Black Panther Party back, we simply chose it because of the revolutionary significance and how the thought of black men with guns really did scare the shit out of middle and upper-class average white Joes across America. And the Police corruption that surrounded the Parties Active involvement.

Basically the founder of all this what-not. He is the one typing this
bio. He does all the site work, with the exception of some images. He's
a pretty cool bloak. He likes really any type of music there is, besides the
shitty pop that is out there. Very few, but some pop music is good in his
mind, for instance: well there's.... um well... actually he couldn't think of
any, so unless you have a nice Indy radio station in your area take that radio
out of your fucking wall and toss it in the garbage along with your cable box.

Brent - Artist, Conceptual development,

2 years ago Brent realized that he actually had something he enjoyed and had a knack for, drawing was a way for him to "take out stress" which he constantly has. for over a course of 2 years he got better and better until he got the chance to take art classes at school which he is attending right now. Though born in 1987and
is still young, he has a strong opinion about politics and what is happening in our country. Unlike some of his own age he is worried about what will be "American" in 10 Years when his age will be the dominate force and "drive force" in the country and world. But this doesn't mean he doesn't have fun like any other teen. He stills like to hang with friends and deface public property (just kidding).

Joe is an asshole... He is also a member of our distro. He does a
lot, well... wait... he really contributes a lot of energy but i dont think
anything ever gets done when tyler and joe do things... he is writing a zine
which will be published by us. He has a car and drives tyler around while
tyler complains about being driven around. He Designs shirts
stencils. Donates zines and money. Likes to organize.
