STREET TEAM HEADQUARTERS
How it all works:
We are assuming most people know what a street team is. If you don't know what one is continue reading this paragraph. If you do.. skip to the next one. So.. you don't know what a street team is.. no biggie its just a stupid popularity thing anyways, its not a very crucial bit of knowledge. What it is: A collection of people who do footwork for a certain project (organization, band, zine, whathaveyou). Members hand out promotional items and are made aware of information about various things that may not be of public knowledge.
How
this one works:
There will be no catchy name, or radical logo. All this is is a list of
names and addresses and letters to write on the part of yours truly.
The Deal:
Donate $20 to become a
lifelong member. This money will go towards:
-The
early payment of some of our consignment partners
-Printing
costs
-Promotional spending
Approximately every 2
months on an irregular basis a member will receive a package in the mail
overflowing with:
-Reading
material
-A
personal letter from us.
-Promotional items (flyers, buttons, stickers, catalogs)
-Sample
zines
-Sample
music
-Sample
patches
-On your
birthday you get a shirt!
As a member you will be
asked to:
-Hand out
and distribute promotional items
-Give
reports on (and encourage) community involvement in the zine scene
-persuade
others to visit the site
-Persuade
friends to become street team members
-Smile at
people
As a member you receive:
-Aside
from the package you get, you also get benefits
-1/2 off on all non-consignment items (click here for catalog)
-A column in the street team newsletter
We realize this is a fairly generous deal to make, and that we may not be able to keep it up, but we hope to attract enough people so that members get their moneys worth. If at anytime the street team needs to be shit down, a complete refund of your money will be sent to you.
